Resolve “The Volume for JPEG cannot be found” error

IPhoto is a very useful application that has been designed and marketed by Apple Inc. for its users which has the capability of storing thousands of images and pictures safely and efficiently in the iPhoto library. However, sometimes you may encounter an error message like “The Volume for JPEG Cannot be Found” or any of the following:

“xxxxxx.JPG" cannot be found. Insert the disk or connect to the server volume and wait for it to appear on the desktop, then try again.”

"File: abc.JPG could not be opened"

The aforementioned errors can appear even when the thumbnails for all the pictures on the iPhoto are visible but viewing the images is not possible. One can view the pictures properly but for any one of the images you could encounter an error message like the ones mentioned above. You could also encounter the error message when you download your favorite from the CD.

The most probable reason for the occurrence of the error is that the iPhoto application does not have the permission to copy the picture into the database. When the pictures are imported from the CD, the iPhoto references them to the CD and require the CD each and every time you view the pictures. However, the error could also be the result of corruption in the iPhoto library resulting in such weird behavior.

The best way to resolve the issue is to delete the affected images. This can solve the problem and enable you to view all the images without any difficulty. But this solution also leads to the deletion of some of the most precious images of your life. In such a situation you can use an efficient and reliable third party iPhoto library recovery tool that can recover and restore all the lost or inaccessible images from the iPhoto library and enable you to view all the images to relive all the lost memories.
